Coney Flores – Time to be Alive
By elevating others you elevate yourself too
Coney Flores is an example of a modern woman; she’s a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, and a founder of an organization. Due to her fall back after an emergency caesarean experience, where Coney fell into depression, it inspired her to help other women who have had similar issues. It was then that she felt blessed to have support from her family and friends. At the same time, she questioned the support system for other women in the society.
“..there are other women experiencing similar issues. How do they share it? How do they get encouragement?”
Hence, Coney along with two Co-Founders formed Elevate Women Forum, a platform with a mission to empower women. Coney fore saw the struggles faced by most women as their roles require them to divide their energy equally, if not, more than they should to their everyday routine. This eventually causes lethargy and demotivation to carry out their responsibilities, including self-doubts. Proceeding with Coney’s vision, she aims to create a circular of sisterhood with Elevate Women Forum, a community where women can share their dreams, and ambitions, as well as struggles and experiences. By doing so, this platform wishes to bring out the best in women.
As a woman, it’s incredibly important to be yourself and never lose sight of all attributes that makes a person beautiful. Depression makes us doubt our existence and all that we are as an individual, hence, in this modern day, everyone needs that constant reminder to live purposefully. Which leads up to Coney’s advice to always be positive, and to look at setbacks with an open mind; you will see things differently.
